What you'll learn in this intermediate english class:

Level 2 is our intermediate class. You will learn to use past, present and future tenses to describe a range of experiences, including your activities, likes and dislikes, and ideas and opinions. You’ll expand your vocabulary to talk with your children’s teachers or manage a job interview. You may write in a journal and prepare a resume. We’ll help you speak in a more natural way, so that you can converse with native English speakers and be more easily understood.

Learn to describe likes and dislikes, ideas and opinions, talk with your children's teachers or manage a job interview. Improve your writing by keeping a journal and preparing a resume. Read the newspaper, and discuss and write about current events. You will be able to have a natural conversation by the end of this class.

Most students attend the same level more than once, so we make sure each semester includes review as well as new topics and activities. With two teachers in each class, you’ll get plenty of individual attention.

Our English classes include activities to strengthen your listening, reading, writing and speaking skills. We help you learn grammar and polish your pronunciation. Lessons organized around themes related to your daily life and work help you learn useful vocabulary.

We encourage participation and often break into pairs and groups to practice skills. Dialogues, games and lots of conversation help you develop fluency and confidence.

  • All English classes (Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced) meet twice a week, Tuesday and Thursday, 6:30 to 9:00pm / Niveles bésico a avanzado, dos clases por semana, Martes y Jueves de 6:30 pm a 9:00 pm
  • Each class provides two hours of instruction, and a half hour of informal conversation over refreshments, with native Spanish and English speakers from our other classes.
Note: Please bring a notebook and pen to your first day.

Question from Itzel
Hi, I just want to know if I can book this class but start on September 25th? Thanks.
Answer from Brenda L. CourseHorse StaffCourseHorse Staff
Hello, there! The overall class policy is that the school do not host makeup classes unless the organization is closed for a holiday etc. Of course, teachers may have their own case by case approach. Teachers generally will send a recap of the class, so the school can certainly make sure this student receives the recap of the first class. But it is highly recommended that you attend the first session so you can get the most out of the class. Hope this helps!
