I’m Joan Renner, and I’m an author and a historian. My blog, Deranged L.A. Crimes tells true tales of 20th Century murder, mayhem, political corruption and celebrity scandal. I am a featured crime expert on many TV true crime series including: Deadly Women, Ice Cold Blood, and Horror at the Cecil Hotel. I’ve been a guest on the Hollywood & Crime podcast and I worked on the book LAPD ’53 with James Ellroy and Glynn Martin.
