Description
We are The Little Sewing Room. We believe that anyone can learn to create beautiful clothing and accessories and enjoy the process of creation with one’s own hands. Nothing feels better.
Upon learning of the conditions under which many of our clothes come to us in America and observing how many people wanted to create clothing themselves but did not learn when they were young, an idea came to fruition and The Little Sewing Room was born.
We teach all ages and levels of sewing, tailoring, draping, pattern drafting, garment embellishment, embroidery, textile surface design, fashion and costume design and illustration in a warm and inviting studio at an affordable price. The Little Sewing Room is a place to brush up on old skills as well as learn new ones. We encourage you to learn and create something of which you can be proud.
We can also create your vision for you with custom made-to-order garments and historical reproductions. Our instructors have years of sewing experience in theatre, television, film, the garment industry and universities.

Morrison was great. She emailed me after I enrolled to ask if I had intended to take her class in seam treatments and I told her I had not because I am a very beginner sewer. However, she provided me with an individual lesson and focused on what types of activities I like to do. I will be enrolling in her longer course on how to sew using my sewing machine and am so glad that I decided to finally get some formal lessons. Thanks for allowing me the opportunity to do that! -
