Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports in the country. And here’s why: The rules are simple. And while it’s easy for beginners to learn, it can quickly develop into a fast-paced, competitive game as players become more skilled. Combining elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong, pickleball is played with paddles and a plastic ball on a tennis court with a slightly modified net.
Once you play a game or two, you’ll be hooked! In this class you'll be introduced to the history and rules of Pickleball while learning basic Pickleball skills such as forehand and backhand groundstrokes, serves, dinks, overhead, and volley shots. You'll also learn game strategy for singles and doubles through class play.
This will be a fun and collaborative learning experience with hands-on instruction! Must Bring Your Own Paddle & Ball: Students must come to class with their own Pickleball paddle and ball (appropriate for outdoor play).
Students under 18 years of age, must have a parent or guardian complete a Release & Medical Consent form.
IMPORTANT: For campus/in-person classes, vaccination proof and masking in classrooms is required for adult and kid students and staff.
