Certified Therapy Dog Handler

Have you ever wanted to become a certified therapy dog handler, from a legitimate recognized agency, and bring joy and smiles to people in different environments and types of facilities? In this one-day, 4-hour class, you will meet a practicing therapy dog (and his handler!) and learn how to pass the therapy dog handler written and behavioral tests.  Course provides a list of facilities using therapy dog services in your area, leading certifying agencies, dog training tips and resources, and post-class support as you work toward your therapy dog certification. We combine group discussions, lecture, demonstrations and videos of therapy dog evaluations used by different registering agencies.  A comprehensive therapy handler resource guide with over 50 valuable website links is included in the course fee. Please do not bring your dog.

Note: Students under 18 years of age, must have a parent or guardian complete a Release & Medical Consent form.
