Are you a budding travel writing enthusiast? Then this class is for you. This workshop will cover the elements of travel writing, including pre-trip research, using on-location experience to find an angle, telling the story, and engaging an audience.
It will also include tips on how to leverage the learnings of this class in the current global crisis - with everything that’s going on in the world right now, more than ever, we need to find ways to adapt to the situation around us.
The travel and tourism industry has been affected the most by the current global pandemic, and while economists are warning travel may not return to normal soon, there are still ways we can adapt. We’ll break down how to restructure travel writing for adaptability, how to connect to other industry professionals for maximum results, and how to identify different areas within the travel industry you can focus your writing on during these uncertain times.
With interactive workshops and practical tips for journalistic writing, blogging, and copywriting, this class will give you what you need to get started as a travel writer, and also identify ways to stay relevant while the industry shifts to the "new" travel normal.
