What you'll learn in this medical training:
This course is designed for the beginner who has little to no experience reading EKGs. The course will cover the following topics:
- Difference between use of 3- and 12- lead EKGs
- Critical interval measurements (PR interval, QRS duration, QTc)
- Bradycardias
- Tachycardias
- PEA/asystole
- Heart blocks
- Introduction to physiology of EKGs
- Proper 12 lead placement
- Basic 12 Lead MI pattern recognition
The course is designed for EMTs, nurses and similar technicians who have not yet learned to interpret arrhythmias or MI patterns.
The student is strongly encouraged to have purchased Barbara Aehlert’s ECGs Made Easy (any version, new or used) and have reviewed the basic arrhythmia patterns prior to class.
School Notes:
All of the courses that we have students sign up for through CourseHorse are skills sessions. Skills sessions require that the student complete an online testing portion through the American Heart Association, that online testing portion is a separate charge from our class fee for facilitating the skills session in the class room.
We offer full provider classes that are all done in class without the need to complete an online test before the class starts.

Refund Policy
- If you need to cancel or reschedule your class a 2 business days notice to CourseHorse is required.
- If less than 2 business days notice is received we can no longer issue a refund of any sort.
Students must arrive on time for their class. Students who arrive 15 minutes or more late, will not be allowed into class and will not be allowed a refund. No-call, No-show will result in you being charged for the cost of the class.
