From the very first moment I was in class, we were all learning. Robert was an amazing instructor and was very knowledgeable about getting us students engaged. I am so happy that I chose to take Level 1 and am excited about continuing this journey I have started out on and will see where this road takes me. If you decide to take these courses, you won't be disappointed!

My 19 yo daughter was struggling after coming back from college during the pandemic and we had always talked about learning sign language. I spent more time watching her during the classes and it was difficult at that time of our lives to concentrate/study outside of class. I was very impressed with our instructor Jamil. I feel that if we were in a better place we would have gotten more out of it and definitely would have been able tp go on to the next class. I feel the format was very good, I would recommend it to others and (again) Jamil was great

Learning ASL Levels 1 and 2 was a lot of fun. Hand signing for me was always relegated to the alphabet, so learning the visual language was really eye-opening. It was such a joy to learn how signs are more than just words, but also physical descriptions of objects and people. I've always felt ASL ought to be taught in schools alongside the other language programs, especially since it will give more opportunities to communicate. Each teacher offered a new perspective, and I learned more history in these two courses about ASL than I had previously in all my years. I highly recommend taking an ASL class. It's been a joy and I look forward to learning more!

i am sure the teacher was wonderful - she seemed dynamic and fabulous. but she screen shared throughout the lesson showing us a powerpoint with the topics we were studying etc. And it meant that her window on the computer was tiny so it was incredibly hard to see what the signs she was teaching us. And also as it was a silent class, it was difficult to know what we were doing at each moment. The powerpoint did give an overview, but it wasn't enough to make it understandable minute by minute. I would love to learn ASL, but i don't think I can do it over zoom in this way. I'm so sorry.

I couldn't even make it to the end of the first class. This was a beginners class but everything was in sign and I couldn't follow it. The teacher was very engaging but this didn't appear to be a beginners class. I was extremely disappointed. Someone from the ASL school had reached out to me after the first class and I told him abut my experience. I didn't receive a response.
