The Art of Story in Watercolor (Ages 9-13)

Learn foundational watercolor techniques and basic draftsmanship skills in order to create whimsical and colorful narratives in the form of illustrations and simple comics.
Digital Illustration (Ages 14-18)

Students will learn the full range of digital painting and drawing techniques available in Adobe Photoshop, including building multi-layered documents, working with transparency and scaling, image manipulation, color filters, working with custom brushes, drawing and painting direct to digital using a tablet, integrating type elements, and much more. Coil Vases & Planters (Ages 14-18)

Using coils, students will learn to construct symmetrical and a-symetrical forms to create vases, planters or sculptural objects. By the end of the course, students will have 2-3 medium to large vessels they can decide to become vases, planters, bowl or sculptural objects. Students are encouraged to apply surface design techniques such as sgraffito, carving or additive objects to expand on the form.

Students who are curious about the world of photography will be introduced to mainly analog, and some digital photographic methods. This includes printing in the darkroom, shooting film, simple digital editing, and much more!
