There is a long history of artist exploring and developing their ideas through the use of the sketchbook. You will explore core drawing techniques, while delving into some innovative art projects. Using pencil sketching and watercolor you will discover ways the sketchbook can be used to create finished drawing and for brainstorming larger projects.
The last two classes will be used for your independent projects. You choose your subject matter and I will give you guidance and support. Returning students are welcomed.

Tuesday Feb 1st, 12pm - 1:30pm Central Time
A fun and messy painting technique, great for first time painters or experienced artists. We will be creating a unique abstract painting inspired by Jackson Pollock. All supplies included. Come have fun with your friends!
Saturday Feb 5th, 2pm - 3:30pm Central Time
Students will learn the elements of exposure and a basic history of photography. They will learn how to process their own black and white film, as well as make gelatin silver prints with an enlarger. Students should expect to create a few photograms, a contact sheet, and at least 5 finished prints.
