Chicago Botanic Garden @ 1000 Lake Cook Road, Chicago, IL
Smooth, creamy, and richly flavored bisques whip up easily in advance for your next gathering. You will learn to make two unique soups in this hands-on cooking class: the ultimate seafood bisque and a fresh garden tomato bisque served with grilled brie and figs on ancient grain bread.
Learn how to make hearty, soul-satisfying soups and stews perfect for the cold weather. In this intensely interactive 2-hour virtual workshop, our chef will guide you through the techniques and skills in order to make well-balanced and flavorful one pot meals. These recipes also freeze well, so you can look forward to stocking up your freezer!

Our Virtual Cook Along classes, via Zoom, will have you and your chef cooking together in real time. We’ll provide you with the recipe packet, equipment list and class syllabus upon registration, so you’re prepared to get cooking!
Our Zoom moderator will make sure your questions are answered live by the chef either during or after class.
A one-week notice is required for cancellation of any class. If you do not cancel by telephone at least 1 week in advance of your scheduled class, we will charge your credit card in full for the class. Please feel free to send a friend in your place if you cannot attend and it is within one week of the class as no refunds will be available. All classes also have a non-refundable, non-transferable 10% fee for the operational and administrative costs incurred by The Chopping Block. This service fee will not be refunded and cannot be transferred in the case of any cancellation.
Please note: all virtual class sales are final. All virtual students will receive a recording of the class within 48 hours of the class.
