Walk the Garden and learn about plants that work well in cut arrangements. Then, inspired by our walk, create a beautiful flower display to take home and enjoy. Learn and practice basic floral design techniques. Bring garden shears or scissors, apron, and garden gloves if desired.

After completing certified 48-hour Complete Training in Floral Design session of classes students have a fundamental knowledge in floral design and capable to work as professionals.
During 48 hours of workshops, you will learn secrets of the unique universal techniques allowing to create all kinds of floral design – from a corsage to large-scaled interior floral installation. The techniques are simple – everyone can accomplish it and work as a floral designer or start own business. The techniques along with new European trends will allow you working fester, more productive and make you to be more competitive it the floral design industry.
Historically American flower arranging evolved from European traditional floral design. Besides traditional floral design contemporary European masters offer visually dazzling concepts. From that perspective, the American style is quite conservative. So, if somebody looks for out of the box solution, they hire European-trained florists.
The school was established by Tatiana Chelekhova. Tatiana is an international award winning designer with more than 30 years of experiences. In 1990, she was sponsored by Chicago Park District to immigrate from Ukraine working as a floral designer for the city of Chicago.
FUNDAMENTAL COURSE FOR SELECTING AND ARRANGING FLOWERS
This 2-class course covers floral design theory, techniques and skills currently required for employment in the floral design industry. Successful completion of the class offers entry-level employment in floral design. We also recommend this class for all who loves arranging flowers. You will get familiar with commercial kinds of flowers and greens during a tour at the wholesale floral market and learn how to prolong life and arrange cut flowers. You take home all your creations.
1 – Introductory
After the class, we will create for you a professional digital portfolio of your creations.
• Selecting quality flowers, processing cut flowers, prolonging life of cut flowers (includes one-hour field trip to a wholesale floral market)
• Modern color theory, recognizing Nature’s clues for effective color combinations and how colors affect each other
• New techniques in floral design, emerging European trends and styles of floral design

EVENT DESIGN COURSE
This course consists of two classes that cover planning, organizing, managing and designing corporate and social events. Party props, room décor, table settings, lighting and display elements combined with art principles and creative thematic approaches to floral design. Personal flowers for weddings.

• Custom made floral napkin rings, lanterns, containers
• Patterns of table settings to maximize artistic effect
• Using fruits and vegetables for floral arrangements

ADVANCED DESIGN COURSE
2-class course.
Selecting flowers and accessories according to foundational principles of floral design. Unique mechanics and techniques in advanced design. Using advanced style arrangements for hotels, offices, stores and other public spaces. Creating large scale room décor. Advanced style wedding bouquets.
