English as a Second Language Conversation

This 8-week ESL conversation class will have a different conversation topic each week, 5 of which will be chosen by the class participants and 3 of which will be chosen by the instructor. Each participant will give at least one 30-minute presentation and conduct the discussion afterwards. Feedback will be provided each night on speech errors (including pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary usage). Appropriate registration level is at an intermediate, high-intermediate, or advanced-level to join this class. This class focuses on oral communication, but participants are invited to email writing samples throughout the 8 weeks for additional feedback since errors in written communication generally mirror those in spoken communication.
